Adoption

Many adoptions are poverty-based. A family in Guatemala, for example, may have no actual desire to give up its child, but grinding, irreconcilable poverty may force it to. This is both tragedy and travesty, an extremely important area for study.

Such study must, and inevitably will, lead to study of the parent or root issue--poverty, and its over-arching and decisive cause, capitalism.
