Physical Health There is little question that the obsessive focus on profit around which our entire society is organized is responsible directly or indirectly for just about every problem of physical health we experience. In the case of maladies with the most conclusively nonsocial etiology, in other words those maladies most authoritatively determined to originate in a purely biological or other physical cause such as a virus or recessive gene, we can still ascribe a measure of culpability to capitalism, since it prevents the large-scale, resolute, and continuing allocation of resources to find a cure--or perhaps to prevent formation or occurrence in the first place. Please see your individual issue of interest, listed separately at this site. For example, click here for Stress, or use the NavBar, at left. |
